What is REACH Learning’s success rate in helping learners who struggle with reading and writing progress?
Students working with REACH typically achieve 2.3 years of progression in reading in a single year — more than double the average.
How long does a student typically work with REACH Learning Services?
Most of our families stay with us for 11-13 months. However, we also have a subset of families that we grow with - adapting our interventions as the children’s needs change. For example, we have some families that we supported with basic reading skills, then written expression, and now support with the executive functioning skills necessary to navigate middle and high school.
What is REACH Learning’s success rate in helping learners who struggle with mathematics?
Students who work with REACH Learning typically achieve a 25% higher growth rate in mathematics than those who don’t receive support outside the classroom.
What does REACH Learning Services charge?
After an initial $695 intake process, the base program costs $650 per month and includes one-on-one sessions with students each week at home, school, or virtually via Zoom. REACH includes additional computer-based programs between sessions and will also work directly with a student’s teacher – all at no additional charge when needed.
Note: A limited number of partial scholarships are available for those experiencing financial difficulty.
What is included in REACH Learning Services and how does it differ from working with a subject-specific tutor?
When partnering with REACH Learning, children receive targeted academic and social-emotional intervention to drive growth. Clinicians work with your child’s school team to tailor the work so that it aligns with the needs identified in school. REACH directors also support parents in the educational system. For example, they help parents understand reports, join conferences, or even collaborate with parents about homework routines.
A subject-specific tutor focuses on a single content area and either helps the child complete homework or uses their own set of goals that may or may not align with the school’s to tackle an area of opportunity.
What type of students does REACH Learning work with?
REACH Learning supports students ages 6-21 who have deep-rooted math, reading, or writing difficulties. Most of our children either meet school-based eligibility or medical criteria for a disability under The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition.
